An ars article that references a study into how consumers feel about downloaded music, etc.
The data suggest exactly what I have been saying all along. The problem with the music industry has nothing to do with casual piracy and more to do with general consumer disinterest. People are tired of paying $10-15 USD for an entire CD to get just 1 good song. They rather just deal with the singles that are good.
There is also some interesting information around pricing and how people feel about it. Instead of the music industry turning a deaf ear, like they have done time after time, maybe they should really listen this time. Chances are they won't.
