I purchased Dawn of War and all of the expansions that came out for it. I loved the series. So when I saw they had a Dawn of War II, I was pretty excited. So I bought a pre-order box from Best Buy and finally picked up the game tonight.
I started the installation and the first thing I noticed is that the install tells you that ...

LOL...good stuff. Let's hope it doesn't actually play out ;)

So I was planning on buying this game because it sounded really innovative and fun...that was of course, until I found out about the draconian DRM it employs. It's some of the most restrictive DRM I have seen on a game to date.
First you have SecuRom. I can't tell you how many times I have had problems installing a game because of ...

I have never seen an error like you are describing. There would never be a reason why Microsoft would require Firefox to play a WM10 file. There must be some other problem at the root of this. What was the link? Maybe I can take a look and see what is happening.

I've never heard of that before. I know a while ago that many devices forced you to use their tools to copy files to your device and that wrapped them with a proprietary format (DRM or sorts) but I'm not sure about forcing the songs to have DRM before they are on the phone. What phone do you have and what format is it telling you that ...

I'm not sure if there are other governments that are ''forcing'' regulation on music retailers. Not in the US anyway. I know that entertainment governance bodies like the RIAA and the MPAA put a ton of pressure on the government to do what they want. They lobby and spend millions ''bribing'' our politicians. But seeing ...

Good to hear from you. All indications appear that we may actually be winning this fight although I still read stories on a daily basis about another company trying to control its users or lock out competition.
It's nice to hear from someone that is many times at the center of the controversy. Good luck with your site and music.

How many times have you had to buy a brand new phone because you switched carriers? How many times has this fact prevented you from switching carriers? How many times have you bought a new phone and then for whatever reason you have to switch carriers and buy another new phone?
Well, cellular carriers have locked their phones for years
1 ...
